Android Beta Onboarding Guide
Get started with
ActiveFit+ on Android
Follow the steps below to install the beta version via Firebase App Distribution.
Phase 1 — Opening the Invitation Email
01
1
On your Android device, open your browser and tap the button below to access the beta download page.
Download ActiveFit+ Beta
2
Enter your Google account email address in the email field and submit.
⚠ You must use the Google account that received the beta invitation — other accounts will be denied access.
3
Open your email app and look for the invitation email from Firebase. Open it directly on your Android phone — the link only works from your phone's browser.
💡 You may receive two invitation emails — one for Android and one for iOS. Make sure to open the Android invitation to proceed correctly.
4
Locate the button labeled "Get Started" and tap it. Your browser will open the Firebase App Distribution download page.
Phase 2 — Installing Firebase App Tester
02
1
Your browser opens the Firebase App Distribution page showing the app name and version. Keep this page open — you will need it in the next step.
2
Tap "Download the Firebase App Tester" — a free companion app by Google that manages your beta builds and notifies you of updates.
3
You will be redirected to the Google Play Store. Tap "Install" and wait for the download to complete.
4
Once installed, tap "Open" in the Play Store, or locate the "App Tester" icon in your app drawer.
5
Tap "Sign in with Google" and select the account that received the invitation.
⚠ Using a different account will result in an "Access denied" error — the invitation is tied to your specific email address.
6
App Tester will display ActiveFit+ QA along with its version number. Tap "Accept invitation" or "Download" to proceed.
Phase 3 — Allowing Unknown Sources & Installing
03
1
Tapping "Download" will trigger an Android security warning — this is expected behavior and your device is safe.
💡 This dialog only appears the first time. Future builds will install without interruption.
2
Tap "Settings" on the security dialog. This takes you directly to the permission screen for Firebase App Tester.
💡 If you accidentally tap "Cancel," return to Firebase App Tester and tap Download again — the dialog will reappear.
3
Toggle "Allow from this source" or "Install unknown apps" to ON. This grants permission exclusively to Firebase App Tester — no other app is affected.
4
Press Back to return to Firebase App Tester. The download will resume automatically. If it does not, tap "Download" again.
5
Once Android's installer launches, tap "Install" at the bottom. The installation usually takes only a few seconds.
6
✓ Installation complete! Tap "Open" to launch the beta app immediately, or find it in your app drawer at any time.
